Fugu – Deadly blowfish and chef’s technique

Did you know Fugu(blowfish) is considered a delicacy even though it is lethally poisonous?

Fugu’s toxin is in certain parts so if it’s carefully prepared, you can enjoy the fish. The flavor of the fillet is very light but the unique texture is what attracts many fans.

We recommend sashimi for the first timers, although  deep fried or nabe(hot pot) is also great. Thinly sliced sashimi is almost translucent and beautifully presented. You can eat sashimi slice by slice, or you can go wild and eat a bunch at a time.
